A short turn around freelancing project in collaboration with the studio Bus Stop films , and their film students. After creating the artworks and having them approved, I hosted a tutoring class as a guest speaker, where we went over the process of creating the illustrations, as well as a drawing tutorial and tips for the industry.
‘Finding Prince’ was a favorite of mine; after being asked to create a princess and the frog type image, I thought I'd mix a bit of culture into the request- twisting the original idea into something more authentic. Although each artwork is featured for seemingly a split second, I wanted to challenge myself to create a convincing pitch idea.
“My Little Alien” is intended to replicate the cheesy 80’s-90’s Family movie era- inspired by films such as; Gremlins (1984) Warner Bros, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and that one fever dream of a movie Mac and Me (1988) produced by Coke a Cola. This ironic artwork is an ode to the beautiful art of out of touch film producers blindly guessing what is ‘hip’ with the younger generations.
Taking the prompt quite literally, the women is a beast!
Taking advantage of the creative freedom; ‘Beach Party’ was a personal challenge of perspective; although on a time crunch it was a fun experiment.
